This is the power of a level 99 titled Douluo that restrained her strength, imagine if she wasnt restrained lol Are you guys looking forward to see Tang San when he reaches level 100? His fights are going to be even more epic

One or two more episodes then, back to the mainland!! They are dragging this arc longer than expected
Fight finishes then Tang San gets the Trident, then more talk with Bo Saixi then more talk among the Seven plus one then off they go to the mainland

douluo • 2 years ago

Actually, I think I was even more impressed with what pre-100 TS does when he gets back to the mainland. That shit screams "when this boi gets his wings, y'all are phooked." LOL. It's too bad the last quarter of the novel is so rushed due to how long the author spent on the SG Trials. Imo, this part coming up--between returning to the mainland and becoming the SG--has some of the best content in DD.

Dase • 2 years ago

lol I am looking forward to when he goes back to Haotian sect and beats the crap out of the elders and heals his father

douluo • 2 years ago

For sure. And before that: when TS and XW are in Sunset Forest and they come upon the Spirit Hall hunting party who starts giving them crap. TS goes full comedian, pretending to be weak asf: "we got lost after running from a 10k yr Salamander šŸ¤£." Then when the Douluo/leader starts loosing his patience and insists TS release his spirit, TS tricks him into holding the trident while he goes "ā€œFine. Fine, Iā€™ll release my spirit. Grandpa, canā€™t you hold my weapon for me? I have to circulate spirit power to release my spirit.ā€ LMAO. Then the poor guy practically gets squashed by its weight before TS runs him through. Loved that scene.

Dase • 2 years ago

lol oh yeah that part is funny as hell, since the leader of the group were lusting after Xiao Wu and didnt think the trident would weigh so much and crushes him such that he couldnt move

douluo • 2 years ago

Yup, the one time XW's cuddles weren't annoying. She had to hide in TS's chest to keep from laughing at them LOL.

Dase • 2 years ago

Will be interesting to see how they will fit the final arc in 53 episodes given that on their streaming site it goes up to episode 250, we are at episode 197 now 26 + 172, hope they wont remove a lot of content, I get the feeling they wont make another season after 250 episodes because of Soul Land 2

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

F**k Soul Land 2, I ain't watching that except for when TS and gang shows up, even among Donghua, there are quite a few with significantly better CGI, Animation and all that so pass.

Youtube Addict • 2 years ago

Thatā€™s what I did with the DD2 novel. The MC didnā€™t impress me at all and after reading one third of it, I started skimming through it, I only read it punctiliously when TS comes into the picture but even that I regretted wasting my time on that bunch of crap.

Youtube Addict • 2 years ago

Yesss.. thatā€™s definitely one of my fav scene post Sea God island. I wonder if they will really show himā€œvaporising the Martial Hall guysā€.
Just like you, I totally enjoyed the duo pranking and fooling around. Hopefully they keep that for a change as they already took a lot of fun and frivolity away.

Michelle0504 • 2 years ago

wait what chapter is this from the novel??

vio • 2 years ago

I'm looking forward to when he gets revenge on the flower and ghost douluo's for both xiao wu and his mother.

Dase • 2 years ago

Ghost douluo will get killed during Tang San's first fight with Bibi Dong, during the hunt for Da Ming and Er Ming, Chrysanthemum Douluo loses his prestige and influence after Ghost's death due to the fact that their value were because of their dual infusion when fighting

A bit of trivia, although not shown or explained in the donghua Poison Douluo always calls Chrysanthemum douluo a$$hole because the word chrysanthemum can be used as a slang for anu$ and because his real name is Yue Guan, guan means gate, or pass (hole), the author makes a pun out of his name a$$hole douluo lol

vio • 2 years ago

lmfao@pun

how can chrysanthemum be used as slang? 0.o

ep 7 of yong sheng and 31 of jun jiu is up to watch on that other site if you havent watched them yet.

Dase • 2 years ago

lol in Cantonese especially (a Chinese Dialect, mainly Hong Kong, Guangdong province and overseas) the chrysanthemum's shape of the is like the a$$hole so they use it as slang lol now you will never look at a chrysanthemum flower the same again, I am not sure about in Mandarin but given that the author implies it when Poison douluo calls Chrysanthemum douluo an a$$hole, I would assume it is the same lol or the author has some Cantonese sense of humor

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

I checked some Chrysanthemum pics, they don't really look like an a$$hole but rather something to shove in one, a good replacement to Hajime's metal rodšŸ‘Œ

vio • 2 years ago

lol@Hajime's metal rod, the dragon might be upset by that.

At first, I thought the same about the plant not looking like it but then I remembered there are times when it does swell up and the plant does kind of look like it then. I was curious about it because I've never heard of a plant that looked like that before. We have the Venus flytrap, trees that are shaped like male 3rd legs and now the chrysanthemum. lol

I understand about the slang being regional, we also have the same in the UK in regard to have sex but.... saying "a bit of hows your father" in reference to sex is just weird..... why would you remind them of their father if you want to get laid... unless they have a dad complex. lol

That "lets eat ramen" made me think of noodles... then slurping because its supposedly customary in japan to slurp noodles. It also reminded me of other things like the shape and size in reference to oriental guys 3rd leg because of things I've heard in the past.

Dase • 2 years ago

LOL you really checked? Umm ok look at the centre of the flower, how it... spreads out, now compare that :D

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

In all fairness, there is a lot of slang in countries that aren't known internationally, could be due to it being slang because of their language or just cultural differences, some countries have the same slang but is said differently. Korea's "let's eat ramen" meaning "have s3x" has a Japanese equivalent I don't remember.

Dase • 2 years ago

Looks like they are following the novel closely for Yong Sheng, lol Prince Bao is going to get it soon as well as that "friend" of theirs

Pity Jun Jiu's one is too short, sigh

vio • 2 years ago

lol, i like how you speech marked friend because it looks more like his using both of them as tools to go further. To be honest if I was him I would have ignored that thing that so called friend is wanting to take part in and practice to build skill level especially with all those training manuals sitting there.

As for Jun Jiu, that was amusing because he was trying to get her drunk and it backfired on him.

Dase • 2 years ago

lol, Fang Han wanted to if there are any opportunities and in a way he was looking after Hongyi, after seeing how their "friend" abandoned them, she realises what kind of person he is, in any case Prince Bao (literally Prince Treasure) and him ate some bitter medicine lol, of course this will bring in daddy and friends lol typical cultivation cliche
She can eat and can drink, she's also can make a medicine pill that negates alcohols, so she isnt too worried, nothing can poison her lol, and she is smart enough to avoid aphrodisiacs, which will come into play later on by the crown prince

vio • 2 years ago

That ending scene makes it look like shes drunk though and that she wanted to get laid. It'll be interesting to see what happens to that prince once he does use the aphrodisiacs considering she verbally abused him earlier.

Dase • 2 years ago

I cant remember but either Jun Jiu eventually stomps very heavily on his genitals several times or burns it lol and forces her cousin to marry him, without the knowledge he's been made man-less until the wedding night

vio • 2 years ago

thats pretty harsh but understandable. It reminded me of a news article I saw in the past on a woman who cut a guys nuts off while he was sleeping and flushed it down the toilet.

Dase • 2 years ago

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned :D
Yeah there's a lot of story like that, Japan, USA, Australia and UK

vio • 2 years ago

if you get a chance take a look at 'The First Immortal of the Seven Realms'. I'm watching it on that other site I mentioned at the moment and the subs on episode 4 are amusing. He just met someone and his first sentence after meeting them is "many haemorrhoids will be carried one by one". lol

Dase • 2 years ago

lol omg the translations, going to have a look once I get off my shift

vio • 2 years ago

there's only 7 episodes and its a short donghua so 5-7 mins per episode. Even though the translations aren't the best, it does look interesting so I'm hoping eventually one of the other subbers will pick it up.

on another note, does martial master have a strong following in china? After tonight's episode I couldn't hold back no more and read the manga for it. It ended in October last year while they were in the middle of a fight so this season of the animated version might end the same or just before it happens :(

Dase • 2 years ago

Martial Master is currently rated at 7.8 on tencent streaming, so I would say it has a decent following, Soul Land is 9.4, and Wu Shang Shen Di is 7.8, and Shenyi Jiu Xiaojie is 7.7 for comparison
lol you can always read the novel :)

vio • 2 years ago

Unfortunately, I cant because if its not an academic paper or journal it puts me to sleep, so I need pictures or animation. :P

Hopefully, the rating is good enough for a second season.

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

This is why Duo's are s**t and being single the best... But I might be changing my status so hold that thoughtšŸ˜…

Dase • 2 years ago

So there will be a Mrs. Gold soon?

MO MA • 2 years ago

i guess his knowledge from his past life is still usefull after all at least he can heal his father ... i was thinking they it became useless at this moment (against strong oppenents)

Dase • 2 years ago

Wait til you see the top assassination weapons in action during the war :)

vio • 2 years ago

will he hit 100 before the war ends? I'm wondering because they are starting a new one and I dunno if this will continue to air after the war is over.

Dase • 2 years ago

Yes, midway during the war, he is severely hurt and decides to go back to Sea God Island to finish his trials
I think we will only have 53 more episodes of Soul Land before they release Soul Land 2, so everything that happens during the last arc will be crammed into these 53 episodes, a lot of content can be squeezed or removed, not to mention that a lot of the chapters involves a lot of conversations
I would be surprised if they do make another season just for the second half of the arc
After the war ends the novel itself ends, I mean the author did wrap it up but it was like two chapters, it felt rushed and a lot more questions were raised than answered, it felt like your favourite plot device a cliffhanger lol I was waiting for the sequel but then realised Soul Land 2 was a completely different story, and not exactly a sequel, kind of like the Hobbits and Lord of the Rings

ANKUR MONDAL • 2 years ago

NGL i am pretty disappointed in what happens after tang San receive his trident

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

In all honesty, the stronger people get, the quicker battles would tend to be, setting aside their speed and destructive qualities, it'd be fairly straightforward as the techniques present don't have much variety and there are known counters to most, if not all.

Dase • 2 years ago

Never underestimate the power of studios and how they would drag a quick battle into 20 episodes (example Dragon Ball Z) :)

OfficialDrixMalone • 2 years ago

I'm super hyped, she was so OP dominating them all so easily while being restrained power wise, that's dope!!

I can only imagine what TS will be like once he's on that level or surpasses that level, including his intelligence, oh man, he'll be hell on earth!!

douluo • 2 years ago

What donghua has taught me: don't mess with any character holding a scepter/staff, especially if it's decorative or has three prongs. They've arrived. Hell...even if it's an ugly one and they're old and infirm, odds are you're gonna have a bad day.

Dase • 2 years ago

You mean dont mess with any pretty looking woman with a scepter or staff, doesnt smile with a perputual frown that seem to be having a bad day that will all pass onto you if you mess with her (Bibi Dong comes to mind as well lol)

douluo • 2 years ago

ā¬†ļøThis guy gets it lol.

Mr.Gold • 2 years ago

You two vibe a lot in all fairness.

Youtube Addict • 2 years ago

No trickery but pure strength and power! Thatā€™s how the animation differs from the novel. I must say I really like this adaptation! They finally did justice to Mubai. In the novel, the author totally forgot about Mubai and his supposed ā€œsacrificeā€ but it seems his 8th ring ability is not such a bad deal either.

But somehow Iā€™m kinda missing this shrewd and sly TS. Of course nothing is better than the teamā€™s combined power and this 5 devils fusion is awesome af.

In the novel, TS tricked his way from start to finish. Well, I get it, Bo Saixi is just too fking strong but itā€™s preposterous to suggest the Sea God actually bent the rules for TS as written in the novel. In his ploy, he attacked the Sea God Hall with his creeping and crawling army of plants, Bo Saixi and the 7 Sea Douluo rushed to the rescue just like what Bibidong and the Martial Soul Hall guys did when Tang Hao slammed his hammer at the Angel statue. Due to their sudden involvement, the testā€™s severity was lowered: as long as TS gets himself out of the island AKA the sea, he wins. So naturally, our dear boy wrapped it up with his last trick. Attack Bo Saixi frontally (and use his invincible golden body) just to let her give him a send off (to the sea). Our well-mannered TS even thanked her for the lift when he was blasted to the sea. Of course the moment she hit him, she realised his trick but she was immediately greeted by TSā€™s purple laser! It would have been a little comic relief ending to their arduous 4 years in the island but of course, we prefer the badass TS rather than the foxy TS clowning around. šŸ˜‰

douluo • 2 years ago

Yeah I was a little worried about how the donghua would adapt this and have to say I like what they did. There definitely was preference for defiance over trickery here vs the novel, which seemed to emphasize their desperation in the face of BS's overwhelming power. All the best stuff in DD incoming and can't wait.

douluo • 2 years ago

Those red eyes with silver hair are so dope lol. Is that avatar from a game cut scene?

Youtube Addict • 2 years ago

Nope that was from the episode where he morphed into his Asura mode fighting the Sea Snake Douluo. Itā€™s freaking cool! I nicked that from a Weibo fan account. šŸ¤«

But I do have an avatar from the game where he sits on his throne as the Asura God. I tell you even the strongest fanboys go weak in their knees seeing that.

Tehnation • 2 years ago

This dude has a hammer, a spear, an axe and now a trident.... what is this guy a swiss army knife lol.
